In the automotive enthusiast community, Barrett-Jackson and Las Vegas go hand-in-hand, and like so many, they have felt the shockwave of disbelief and sorrow after the shooting in Las Vegas last weekend.
“All of us at Barrett-Jackson are heartbroken over the tragic event in Las Vegas Sunday night,” says chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson Craig Jackson. “Like many people around the country, this even hit close to home. We are returning to Las Vegas for our 10th annual auction to stand by our partners.”
The organization plans to help in the best way they know how; auction off a car and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the relief effort so that those in need can move forward. The car to be auctioned off is Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis’ 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake.
“We truly feel that we’re part of the Las Vegas community, and I couldn’t think of a better way to show support than giving something from my person collection, which is also so close to my heart. This is really an incredible car with a great story behind it, and I’m honored to sell it at Barrett-Jackson to help the great men and women who risked their lives to help save other,” says Davis.
Barrett-Jackson will also welcome first responders to this year’s event with two free passes to the event with valid credentials which can be retrieved at the Mandalay Bay Box Office. There will be additional locations and means to donate to the cause at the event. Visit Barrett-Jackson.com for further details as they become available.
