1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible | Loyd Brigance, Greenville, TX
It’s still hard to beat top down cruising particularly when your’55 is riding on a Billy Dawson Corvette Correction chassis. The C4 Corvette suspension provides ride and handling while the LS motor provides modern power. The car rolls on 18-inch chrome ZR-1 wheels. When the top goes up the Vintage Air keeps you cool and Dakota Digital gauges monitor the modern mill.

1957 Chevrolet 150 | Tim Meyer. Southside, AL
We’ve always been drawn to the simplicity of the Chevrolet 150 model. Less chrome and the sedan B-pillar give the car a business-like appearance. Under the hood a traditional 350/350 combination motivates the car while RideTech air suspension combines with rear leaf springs for suspension. Disc brakes and wheels by Boyd combine for stopping power. Inside factory fabric keeps the low-key theme alive.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air | Bob & Peggy Cook, Fresno, CA
The Atomic Orange & Cool Vanilla paint scheme drew us in for a closer look and we were pleasantly surprised to find a 472 cubic inch Hemi under the hood! This owner built car rides on an Art Morrison chassis, and the 530 HP is passed back through a TK-600 tranny. Wilwood provides the stopping power and Billet Specialties provides the 18-inch rolling stock. Inside Vintage Air and Dakota VHX gauges are found along with gorgeous cinnamon leather and an owner formed console.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air | Gerry & Melinda Kennon, Columbus, GA
This ’55 is gorgeous on the outside but what really caught our eye was the incredible chassis work. The Art Morrison chassis rolls on Billet Specialties wheels connected to plated and polished Kugel front and rear independent suspension. The LS-7/4L70E combination makes this Bel Air quick, while the leather covered bucket seats; Vintage Air, Dakota Digital gauges and Lokar shifter provide comfort and control from the inside.

1955 210 Handyman Wagon | Alton & Joan Love, Elkhart, IN
It is impossible to not notice this car, even in a sea of Tri-five Chevrolets. The brilliant yellow and green combo rolls on 17-inch Rev wheels while under the hood a 350 Chevy is fed by a trio of carbs. Attention to detail is everywhere including hand engraved valve covers and very unique butted-glass cargo windows. Inside green leather covers the bench seat and Classic Instruments finished the gauges in a matching green. Vintage Air keeps the big wagon cool, Lokar selects the gears.

1957 Chevrolet Window Delivery | Randle Montgomery, Cornelius, NC
Talk about rare is not a station wagon, rather it is a factory Window Sedan Delivery. Most of these vehicles were used by the military, Park Service and some phone companies. This OD green delivery is powered by a 283 power pack coupled to a Muncie four speed. Rolling stock is BFG rubber wrapped around Rally Wheels. Everything inside is done in factory finished with the exception of the Hurst shifter.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air | Morris Campbell, Marietta, GA
Eight stacks under the hood will always draw a crowd. In this case it was Englese Induction sitting atop a modern LS3 motor for the perfect blend of modern power with traditional good looks. Finned valve covers complete the package while a Tremec six-speed keeps with the performance theme. The car rides on CPP front suspension with a Currie rear and QA1 shocks on all four corners. Traditional 15-inch American mags look right on the car. Inside Dakota Digital monitors the LS motor and Vintage Air keeps things cool.

1955 Chevrolet 210 Sedan | Gary & Flo Garman, Mt. Wolf, PA
This traditional 210 is simple yet effective. From the Tangelo Pearl and ghost flame finish the one-piece bumpers the car is traditional. Viking shocks smooth the ride while 17 X 7 and 17 X 10 Intro five-spoke put a modern touch on a traditional style. Under the hood the Holley-fed 350 is highly detailed with a custom formed air breather. Inside leather bucket seats are found on either side of the Hurst shifter. Classic Instruments and Vintage Air complete the leather interior.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air | Eddie Williams, Marianna, FL
The 1955 Chevrolet was a dominate force in the gasser wars of the sixties. From the metalflake roof and dashboard to the completely shaved side trim, this ’55 nailed the look. The rear wheels have been radiused while the front wheel wells are filled with headers. Viking shocks are found on all four corners and Coys wheels measure 15 X 4 and 15 X 10. Stance comes from sixties vintage lift spindles. Inside Autometer gauges monitor the 327 under the hood. Twin Holley 450’s feed the mouse through a vintage tunnel ram intake. Inside the white diamond-tufted interior and Grant metalflake wheel complete the gasser look.

1957 Chevrolet 210 | Hoyt Allison, Sautee, GA
There is little need for exterior changes on the 1957 Chevrolet, it was that good. Hoyt Allison recognized that and left the stock trim intact, added Bel Air aluminum to the 210 insert and then focused on modern performance. Under the hood the LS3 couples to a 4L70E tranny. The engine bay is a study in detail and that same attention carries inside the car where rich brown leather bucket seats can be found. Classic Instruments provides the vital sign, Vintage Air keeps you cool and QA1, Currie and Wilwood provide the ride.
