The big news? With the mountain of feedback, Modified and Pro Street are back in their corners, and we’ve added some power-balancing to billet/altered bore spacing combos, affecting Super Street, Street Race, and Gasser:

  • Added Monte Smith memorial award for Quickest Nitrous Car.
  • Clarified that both NHRA and IRHA licenses may be required depending on the track. (And today’s a good day to check double-check all of your expiration dates on licenses, certs, and gear!)
  • Valve covers now sealed to heads for Sealed Engine reliability reward. (Previously limited to “intake sealed to the block” — no pulling valve covers for lash adjustments for 2018-2020)
  • Rainout contingency up to race director, Saturday not guaranteed.
  • Tire examples updated.
  • Car count will be set individually each year, but no changes to waitlist process. (Verbiage now reflects the yearly cut-off)
  • The Modified class is back with the same rules as before and a couple updates, such as tire width. (11.25in to 11.5in)
  • The Super Street class was put back to the way it was with all previous suspension rules.
  • Language added about no billet blocks and heads and no altered bore spacing for Super Street, Street Race, and Gasser.
  • The B/Gas class retains no power-adders, chassis rail rules clarified to simply: “The frame may not have round-tube main rails.”
  • “No window supports visible from outside the car” verbiage removed from Ultimate Iron, Modified, and Super Street.

Thank you for your patience and feedback — we can already hear the keyboards clackin’, but we’ll see everyone in September!
