The smoke, or should we say fog of burning Falkenrubber has cleared, and so ends the sixth Week to Wicked build. From start to almost finish the 1985 Chevy C10 our Week to Wicked crew built to be given away at the LMC Truck C10 Nationals May 4-5, 2018 went like clockwork. But then it was at the very tag end where things started going a awry that we got a chance to witness just how good Ryan, Jason, and Chris are at diagnosing problems under pressure.

And if the few hours at the last that were eaten up by three minor glitches wasn’t bad enough to add to the suspense having to stop and let the film crew shoot what they needed of the C10 for the videos was absolutely maddening. The 525 horsepower Chevrolet Performance LS 376 engine that came from GandrudChevrolet of Green Bay, Wisconsin came to life at the first twist of the key, but then it stumbled and shut off.

The three amigos formed a quick huddle, and then split into three directions to enact a solution. Jason thought back to when he mounted the mass airflow sensor in the K&N intake snorkel and flipped it around to catch intake air as it was sucked in. Problem solved the LS 376 fired right up and purred like a kitten… a big kitten with tiger stripes to be more exact.

The first public appearance of this Squarebody Blue ’85 C10 will be at the 2017 SEMA show where folks will able to find it adjacent the Discovery Stage. Early next year you’ll be able to find it at the TEN exhibits in Cobo Center at Detroit Autorama March 2-4, 2018. For more information on how you can win this truck at the LMC Truck C10 Nationals please go to www.C10Nationals.com.
