On Wednesday morning 15 of the Speedway Motors Road Tour participants joined 35 other rodders in the NSRA Nationals kick-off parade. The vehicles gathered at Papa John’s Stadium and had a police escort to downtown Louisville. Take a look at the video to see the vehicles that took part in the parade. Wednesday was also setup day at the fairgrounds. We had a tent put up for the Speedway Motors Road Tour participants. The Road Tour 1957 Chevy was on display in our TEN (The Enthusiast Network) display in the main exhibit building.
The event kicked off on Thursday morning under sunny skies. On Friday the Pros Pick area was a popular destination. We took a Speedway Motors group picture at the outside tent on Friday at noon. The popular autocross was held again this year. On Saturday the annual Road Tour reunion was held at the Street Rodder booth inside. It was great to see all the folks from previous Road Tours. The swap meet is always big at the Nationals. Saturday and Sunday the weather was again beautiful. The official registration numbers hit 10,133 by Saturday at 2 p.m.

It was a great weekend in Louisville and a fantastic Road Tour from Speedway Motors. With 50 vehicles on the tour plenty of new friendships were formed. We all left with the same thought; we really need to do that again.
